Abstract:

Internal surface interactions play an important role in shelf life and stability of many drug formulations delivered by pMDI’s. Whether solution drugs or suspension, plasma coatings and treatments are now available for the prevention of suspension particulates binding to can/component walls or catalytic degradation from, for example, metal oxides with solution formulations.  Presspart will present a new scaled-up sub-micron plasma process for coating and treating the internal surfaces of pMDI cans with resulting exceptional performance.
